Ordine is a program for running interior design and renovation projects — for interior design studios, architects, turnkey renovation contractors and joiners fitting complete interiors. Basics
What is Ordine?
Ordine is interior design project management software for fit-outs and renovations. It holds everything that was agreed, ordered and built on a project in one place — from the first measurement to the handover. It is not a drawing tool and it is not an accounting program; it is the place where a project leaves a trace you can still read three months later.
Why would I need it when I have Excel?
Excel sits on one computer, the measurements are in a notebook, the deadlines are in your head, the agreement with the client is in a text message. When something slips, nobody can say where the slip started. Ordine does not change the order you work in — it only makes sure everything is in one place, and reachable on your phone on site as well.
What does it mean that the program is built from three parts?
A project goes through three phases and each has its own colour. Drawing (green) is the site visit, the measurement, the drawing and the client's approval. Ordering (blue) is the bill of materials, the suppliers and the expected arrivals. Execution (dark red) is the installation, the trade slots and the handover. The Ordine mark carries the same three colours — a closed circle means a finished project.
Do I have to use all three parts?
No. An architect who only designs works in the first part. A turnkey renovation contractor, in the second and third. An interior design studio running a complete renovation, in all three. Nothing has to be switched on, and the program does not argue with you if you leave a part unused.
Who it is for
Who is Ordine for?
Above all interior design studios that run complete renovations. After them architects who also take on the build. Then turnkey renovation contractors — building firms that take on a flat or a house complete. And finally furniture showrooms and joiners who, alongside the furniture, also run the services, the decoration and the trades.
I am a joiner, or I run a furniture showroom. Is Ordine any use to me?
It depends on what you take on. If you only sell or make furniture and install it, Ordine will be more than you need. If you promise the client a finished room — so you also run the measuring, the delivery, the electrician, the plumber, the painter and the suppliers — then it was written for you.
I am an architect and I do not build. What is in it for me?
The first part: measurements, drawings, options and client approvals, with a record of what was agreed when and who approved what. If you later take on supervision of the build as well, you switch on the other two parts without moving any data.
We deliver turnkey renovations. What do we use?
The second and third parts: orders, suppliers, subcontractor slots and handover. If you have a designer in the firm, the first part is added and the project runs from the drawing to the report in the same file.
How many people can work on a project?
The licence carries a number of seats, and a seat is taken by whoever logs hours or starts the stopwatch. Contacts for trades and suppliers are not counted and can be unlimited. At launch one seat is sold; further seats come later.
What it does
How are tasks organised?
Every task knows which phase it belongs to and who is carrying it. Open a project and you see where it stands — without digging through messages.
What is the “Up next” list?
A separate list that shows only what is live right now — across every project at once. Instead of opening them one after another, you see in one place what is on you today.
Does it have a schedule?
Yes. A task with a deadline is a marker on one day; a task with a start and a duration is a bar. You see the installation as a band across the week and the trade slots one under another — and you notice at once if two trades are on site the same day.
What is a checklist?
Every task has its own list of steps, which you tick off as they are done. It works on the phone too, with gloves on, on site.
What about measurements?
You enter measurements in millimetres against the item, where you take them — on a phone or a tablet on site. No copying from a notebook and no guessing at what was written.
Does it keep a bill of materials?
Yes — material, edging and hardware item by item, with suppliers and expected arrivals. You can see what has not arrived yet and is therefore holding up the installation.
How are orders organised?
An order carries a supplier, a date and a status. Hardware, stone, lighting, tiles — all on one list, so there is no more calling the supplier from memory.
Can I run trades and subcontractors?
Yes, and contacts can be unlimited — they do not count towards licence seats. Each one carries a slot and a note of what has to be ready before they arrive.
Does it record hours?
Yes — with a stopwatch or by manual entry, by project and by person. Your next quote then stands on a figure rather than a feeling.
What does it offer at handover?
A handover report with a snag list and a deadline to clear it, and a works order. A sheet the client signs without an argument, because it is all on it.
What happens to finished projects?
They stay in the archive. When they call in two years about the same kitchen, you have the measurements, the bill of materials and the suppliers to hand.
What devices does it run on?
On a phone, a tablet and a computer — it runs in the browser and installs as an app. The same file everywhere, on up to twelve devices.
Data and privacy
Where is my data?
In your device's storage and in your own Dropbox folder. We have no data server, so no project passes through one and we never see it either.
Why Dropbox, and what does that mean for me?
Dropbox syncs the file between your devices and is at the same time the only copy outside the device. How many older versions of the file it keeps depends on your own Dropbox plan. You take out the account yourself and it is not included in the price of the program.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not for working. The program installs as an app and runs offline — in the studio, in a basement, on site. The licence does not need activating online either. You only need a connection when you want the file to sync between devices.
Can I export my data?
Yes, and export always works — including after the licence expires. A licence unlocks the program, not your data.
Does it replace an accounting program?
No. Ordine runs the project — tasks, measurements, bills of materials, orders, deadlines and handover. Your accounting program stays for the books, VAT and records.
What are the system requirements?
A modern browser with working local storage. For syncing between devices you need your own Dropbox account, which is not included in the price and is not under our control. The program shows what has been entered — it is not a notification system. Recovery of data is not guaranteed, because a server, a network, the electricity, the browser and the operating system all sit in between.
Licence and price
Is Ordine a subscription?
No. You buy a period and nothing renews by itself — no card is charged on its own. At launch there is a three-month licence; an annual one follows later.
How long is a licence valid?
Three months at launch, twelve later on. Renew before it runs out and you pay less, and the new period is added to the end of the current one — so paid days are not lost.
What happens when the licence expires?
You get a warning before it expires, and after it six days of grace, during which the program works entirely as normal. Only then does it stop accepting new entries. Projects, hours and documents stay visible and export goes on working. Nothing is locked and nothing is deleted.
What will it cost?
The price is not set yet and we do not want to announce one before it is. Sign up for early access — we will write with a single e-mail when it is known, and that list has priority when ordering, at the early price.
When will it be available?
The program is in preparation. We are not announcing a date yet, because it would be a promise we cannot guarantee for now. Anyone on the early access list hears first.
How will buying work and who issues the invoice?
When sales open, payment will run through Paddle as the authorised seller. Paddle issues the invoice, and companies with a valid VAT number account for VAT under the reverse charge rules. We do not see card details and we do not store them.
Other
What languages is it in?
Slovenian for now. English and Italian versions are next, German after them. If you work across a border, tell us when you sign up — the order follows whoever gets in touch.
What does early access mean?
You leave your e-mail address and reserve a place. You pay nothing now and commit to nothing. When Ordine is released you are among the first who can order, and the early price applies. The sign-up counts only once you click the link in the confirmation e-mail.
How do I unsubscribe from the mailings?
Every message carries an unsubscribe link, which works at once and without explanation. The address is deleted from the list when you click it. You can also simply write to us and we will take care of it.
Who is behind Ordine?
Ordine grew inside an interior design studio that has been running renovations for 26 years — not as a software plan, but because somebody had to write down when the stone was coming and who promised the socket above the worktop.
